# Screen

TX T\&H E-INK AMB: screen

The TX T\&H E-INK AMB model is equipped with an electronic ink (E-INK) display. Unlike conventional displays, the E-INK display is always on and only consumes power when refreshing the data.

#### 1. Startup sequence

When powered on (removing the tab or connecting USB-C), the display shows the following steps:

* "**Hello**" : System initialization.
* "**Connecting**" : Attempting to connect to the network (progress bar visible).
* Result:
  * "**Connected**" : The LoRaWAN network connection is established.
  * "**Failed**" : Connection failed. The device still switches to measurement display, but the data will not be transmitted.

{% hint style="info" %}
The startup sequence displayed on the E-INK screen complements the LED light signals, whose behavior remains identical across the Room Control range for simplified reading of the sensor status.
{% endhint %}

#### 2. Operating display

Once operational, the display permanently shows the following information:

* Main measurements: **Temperature** and **Relative** **humidity**.
* Status indicators (logos):
  * **Battery** : Remaining energy level in the sensor.
  * **WAN** : Indicates that the device is properly configured for the LoRaWAN network.
  * **Link** : Appears when the "Link Checks" (connectivity tests) are valid, ensuring the quality of the connection.

#### 3. Critical battery management

Since E-INK technology keeps the display visible even without power, a safety mode is provided to avoid reading outdated data:

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Empty Battery Alert**

When the energy level is insufficient, the temperature and humidity readings disappear in favor of a large empty battery logo. If this screen appears, replace the battery immediately or switch to a USB-C power supply.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://enless.gitbook.io/centre-aide/guides-installation/documentation-en/sensors/editor-2/use/screen.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
