# Sensor installation

TX WINDOW: sensor installation

The TX WINDOW is ideally installed on a wall or any other vertical support.

Wall mounting can be done in two ways:

* using the supplied double-sided adhesive in the box
* using screws (and wall plugs if necessary) not supplied

#### With the supplied adhesive

* Attach the adhesive to the back of the sensor.
* Position the sensor at the desired location.
* Press for a few seconds so that the sensor sticks.
  {% endcolumn %}
  {% endcolumns %}

#### With screws

1. Remove the security screw on the lower part of the sensor housing using a Phillips screwdriver.
2. Remove the transparent back of the sensor with a flat screwdriver.
3. Use the back panel to:
   1. mark, drill, and insert wall plugs into your support
   2. screw directly into the support

The front of the sensor is ready to be reassembled directly on the wall.

Don't forget the **screw** !

## Mounting the magnetic part

The magnet is attached to the moving part (opening) using its adhesive mount.

* **Location** : The magnet can be placed either on the left side or the right side of the main part.
* **Critical alignment** : For detection to work, you must absolutely align the visual markers (small notches or lines) located on the sides of the main housing with the marker on the magnet block.
* **Detection distance** : Make sure the magnet is as close as possible to the sensor (generally less than 2 cm) when the door is closed.

{% hint style="success" %}
**Validation** : Perform an opening and closing test. The sensor sends an immediate message each time the state changes and flashes **orange**. Check that the data is properly received on your interface.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://enless.gitbook.io/centre-aide/guides-installation/documentation-en/sensors/editor-6/use/sensor-installation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
